MANAGER OF BLITZ LIVE!


The manager of Blitz Live leads a team of experiential marketing, promotions and events experts to deliver unique value to clients that they cannot find via traditional media mechanisms. Blitz Live! specializes in helping companies effectively implement live events and promotions to drive brand awareness and sales. Blitz Live develops fresh and innovative ways to build brand awareness in this competitive marketplace, drive traffic to businesses, or simply maintain a happy and established customer base.

In addition to leading and hands-on management of the Blitz Live! team, the Manager is ultimately accountable for client relationships, coaching others to achieve strong project results and expanding and developing client relationships. The Manager must optimize client engagement to solidify new business opportunities within existing accounts and to contribute substantially to the creative problem solving and solution architecting that is key to this role.

 

The Manager of Blitz Live! is a member of the Blitz Media, Inc. management team and reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations.





Human Resource Partner


Do you want to be a part of an employee owned company in an exciting industry where the energy and excitement set the pace?  Blitz Media, Inc. is one of the area's largest media buying agencies and is seeking someone on a part-time basis Human Resources Business Partner.

Reporting to the President, you will be involved in all aspects for Human Resources including company wide recruitment, employee programs, benefits, compensation, training, development, new hire/termination processes, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and other Human Resources areas as required.

This is initially a three day a week position with potential for a full-time role.

Your day to day :

  • Acts as advisor and advocate on human resources issues to all employees throughout the organization
  • Works with management as a strategic partner on organizational design and development to ensure that HR activities are aligned with financial goals
  • Plans and recommends HR budget, manages expenditures, and reports on budget variances
  • Develops internal talent to have leadership available for near-term and future staffing needs.
  • Works with management developing staffing strategies and recruitment plans to attract top caliber employees.
  • Manages the recruiting process which includes, but is not limited to: sourcing new employees through networking, using online recruiting tools, conducting preliminary phone screens and interviews, working with managers to write job descriptions, etc…
  • Develops human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge, and talent gaps; develops specific initiatives to the fill these gaps.
  • Works with management team on succession planning and career development needs.

Your expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years (or equivalent experience) as a HR generalist/business partner with expertise in the above areas
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law human recourses practices, training methods, recruiting/interviewing methods, and benefits design and compensation design strategies.
  • Extremely well organized and absolutely diligent about details
  • You possess a sense of urgency and responsibility above the norm
  • Ability to work quickly and independently with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible, innovative, creative, action oriented and results driven
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • You have a high degree of integrity and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and a positive role model to all
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees in a diverse environment
  • Must be proficient in Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with HRIS

Media Planner


As a Media Planner, you are responsible for managing the client media plans.  You provide primary media research and planning support to account teams.  You perform analyses and provide recommendations for all media projects on your assigned account list.   To be most successful, you must be organized, efficient, “the source” for media issues relative to your accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of media planning, media attributes and trends.
  • Use knowledge to work in partnership with the account teams to analyze data and participate in planning discussions.
  • Actively contribute to the planning process, contributing ideas to attain a clear strategy to the plan which supports the client’s business goals.
  • Design media plans and presentations for Blitz clients.
  • Contribute significantly to planning meetings with clients.
  • Assist in the development of accurate metrics for post campaign analysis.
  • Recommend and understand Blitz research resources, including Arbitron, Nielsen and other qualitative and quantitative research capabilities.
  • Support members of the Client Service group in various projects required to meet client needs.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in the face of a constantly changing environment, remaining enthusiastic in the face of setbacks. 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • You have a background in advertising and media.
  • You have knowledge of different media types, with emphasis on positive and negative attributes, and understand how they apply to various marketing situations.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to stay abreast of the changing media landscape and the implications of these trends.
  • You have media planning experience and continue to develop proficiency through training and independent initiative.
  • You have worked with media research and understand the application of that research to various client situations.
  • You have a strong working knowledge of presentation creation and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • You work effectively in a team setting.
